How do you wow your followers and get them to share your posts, like your status updates, want to work for you as a company and ultimately buy into you as a brand?
Just throwing up a profile or page will only get you so far. The real key is to engage your audience — to turn your followers into fans.
But easier said than done, right? It doesn’t have to be. Here are three simple ways to enliven your LinkedIn Company Page presence using SlideShare. ¬¬
1. Create a #CultureCode Deck
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings’ “Netflix Culture” SlideShare – a presentation in which he details how he creates a winning work environment – has gotten 7.5 million views. Why? People like seeing the inner workings of an organization: what management values, how employees are treated, what gets rewarded and what isn’t tolerated. No doubt, it serves as a recruiting tool and internal doctrine for Netflix, too.
“It’s given companies the courage and the permission to not accept that business culture is a given, but something to create,” says former Netflix Chief Talent Officer Patty McCord, who helped Hastings craft the infamous deck.
So what culture has your company created? Join the #CultureCode conversation and share your own deck on what makes your workplace great. Need some inspiration? Check out the Culture Codes of Zappos, Spotify, InterContinental Hotels Group, Fab.com and more, anddownload our #CultureCode template.
Tip: Embed your Culture Code SlideShare on your Career Page, and/or share it and click “Pin to Top” to keep it the first update of your Company Page homepage.
2. Post an Infographic
People love infographics and the stats back it up: Infographics are “liked” 4X more than presentations and 23X more than documents on SlideShare. And they are shared on social networks 2X more than presentations and 3X more than documents. Plus, did you know that visuals are processed 60,000 times faster in the brain than text?
Hop on the power of visual content! Follow these tips for creating a standout infographic, upload your infographic to SlideShare, then share it with your Company Page followers. Let the “likes,” shares and comments commence!
Tip: Want to capture leads? If you have a SlideShare PRO account, surface the “Get in Touch” button at the bottom of your infographic to allow viewers to contact you for more info.
3. Share Knowledge
Your followers follow you to learn more, be inspired and empower themselves with more knowledge. But creating great content that does that on a daily basis is a lot of work, right?
Don’t worry, you can still spread knowledge and thought leadership without having to pour all that time and resources into always crafting your own content. Share items from other sources that your fans might find interesting or valuable. Plus, pointing to other sources can help add to your credibility as a knowledge provider and leader.
SlideShare hosts 15 million presentations, videos and infographics, on topics ranging from Technology and Business to Career and Marketing. Find SlideShares you think will interest your Company Page followers, and share them in your updates.
